My daughter's house burned Friday morning and they lost everything. Her and her husband and their children are going to have to start all over again. I just thank God that they were able to get out of the house without getting hurt.

My post today is very short I know, but I want to share this bubble overlay with you that I made and used in the LO in the last post with my granddaughter blowing the bubbles. I have also included the shadows for you to use that I used, the bubbles and shadows are each on their own layer. The background is not included. Here they are especially for you Linda!

Happy Easter

Thank you for all the well wishes, regarding my back problems. It means a lot! I have a lot to share with you today. First a couple of bookmarks that I made. One for my oldest granddaughter who celebrated her 8th birthday the other day and shares my passion for reading. The second one I made for myself. It has photos of my 5 grandchildren. I'm sorry but when I made these I did them in a hurry and forgot to save what fonts I used.

The photos in this LO were made of our garden from last year. Tony (my hubby) does all the work in it I just take the photos of it and enjoy what he grows! LOL If it was left up to me everything would die, as I'm not the one in this family with the green thumb.

The last LO for today I made using the MEGA kit that the designers got together and created for CT Appreciation Week. Thank you to all of you for this awesome kit! This photo is another of my granddaughters who is celebrating her 4th birthday today.

Paper, elements, & alphas are all from the CT appreciation kit.
Photo & bubbles (outside the photo) are by me.

Now for the freebie today. Linda had a couple of request for some word art. The first, the one I used in my LO 'True Colors'. I couldn't give you that exact word art because I used some alphas and word art it in from the Love Me Tender kit by the DSO Design Team. So I did the next best thing and tried to recreate it. Here it is along with a freebie paper pack. The colors in this pack would be perfect for spring and Easter LO's. Hope you like them. A special thanks to June for her Texture Up! Set 2 Overlays which you can find in her store here at SDK.

As for the second Word art that you asked for, Shauna over at Pineapple Plantations released this right after you asked me for it. I think she did a beautiful job on this, so I will just give you the link to her blog so you can go grab it there. Don't forget to leave her some love!

But I do have a couple of layouts to share with you today as well as a couple of freebies for you that were requests from Chris & Cathy. You will find the freebies below the layouts.
The first LO I created for June's Paper Cutter challenge over at SDK. She gives you a great 'Paper Cutter Shapes' pack and the challenge is to use at least 3 of the paper cutters in a LO. I actually used four of the shapes. I used one of the cutters to make a flower, one for the photo, & two more for paper shapes. With this challenge you get the free Paper Shapes plus a beautiful posting bonus.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Nikki for choosing my LO and for this great kit that you sent me! And thank you Tracy for the great template! This first LO was made using Nikki's new kit 'Simply Spring' which is due in her store before long, so keep an eye out for it. My calendar on this desktop is marked with all of the birthdays in our family this month. I did this LO for four challenges,

This second LO I made using another of my birthday goodies, one of my choices from K-Joi was the Custom Paper by Mique Walcutt. I'm tickled to death with the paper that she created for me. Thank you again Mique!
The song 'Right Where I Need To Be' was playing on the radio one night has my husband was driving home from my house,(before we were married), listening to the words, he decided then and there that it was time to ask me to marry him, so he could always be 'right where he needed to be'. So this song is very dear to both of us! And is why I chose these words for my 'Custom Paper'. I did this LO for three challenges
Journaling challenge at K-Joi
Just Baggin' It challenge at DSO - where you also get a nice grab bag to play with
All About Me challenge at DSG

To be married to my best friend
And to be

My third LO today features my youngest granddaughter Abigayle. I made these photos after she won 1st place and prettiest eyes in a Baby Pageant that she was in. She just looked like she could care less about the crown and trophy that she won. LOL I did this LO for two challenges,
Lyric challenge at DSO
June's Monday challenge, which is always fun! Plus it will be printed for my sweet Abigayle.

They Were Right

I'm back with a few LO's to share and a couple of freebies for you! Well the weathermen were right, we got snow late Friday night and Saturday morning. This first LO I made for the AD challenge over at DSO & the Mix It Up callenge over at SFS. I used some of the photos that I took Saturday morning.

This next LO I managed to combine 2 challenges into one layout. It was done for the template challenge at Mellow Butterfly and the BOM challenge at DSO. Where the challenge was to talk about some challenge you have overcome, or something you are working to overcome. The idea for this LO came after reading June's article 'What Happened to the Sad and the Bad?' over at Scrap's Of Mind. the Phalphas used in this Lo were another of my birthday goodies. These are so neat, you add your photo to truly make this a personal Alpha. I'm sure this is something that will be used a lot!

Is It Gonna Snow

What crazy weather we are having! It has been up in the 60's today 70's yesterday, flowers are sprouting up everywhere. True springlike weather, Now they are predicting snow. Anywhere from 2-6 inches, which for our area is a lot. They close things down if things start turning white, so you can imagine what this will do. LOL I haven't saw this much snow here since 1985, have saw ice-storms but not this much snow at once since then. We are under a 'Winter Storm Watch' now through Saturday. Guess we will just have to wait and see what happens. It will give me a chance to share 'Snow Cream' with the grandchildren *Smiling*

I have a couple of LO's to share with you today. The first 'Dreamer' was done for the Heritage Challenge over at DSO. Also for June's Monday Challenge over at Cen's Loft. Plus Gabrielle asked me to use her kit in a LO. For the heritage challenge we were to use a new or recent photo and make it look like an old one. June's challenge we were given a great torn cardboard element pack and were to use at least two of the elements in a LO. I colored my cardboard to match the kit I used. I also used another of my birthday goodies in this LO - the Folded corner template. The photo is of one of my granddaughters.

Papers, ribbons & tag from 'Beautiful Dreamer' kit by Gabrielle

My next LO was done for the ICBYST challenge over at DSO. Also for the Texas Twostep template challenge over at MIS. I also managed to scrap another of my older photos with this one. This photo is of one of my four babies, my youngest son who now has a baby of his own. The papers in this LO where all made by me, using some of June's overlays You will be able to grab the paper pack below.

I'm back with a kit for you!

Sorry I'm a little later than I told you I would be blogging. I've been very busy and haven't gotten to scrap as much as I wanted to. But have managed to do a couple of LO's and using some more of my birthday goodies. The first LO I managed to cover two challenges and a layout to be printed off for my son. This one was created for the font challenge over at DSO and the template challenge over at DSG. My son has a new baby, who managed to scare me just by looking at me, just look at the size of this baby! He is not quite a year old yet. The date stamp used in this layout was another of my birthday pressies.

papers are from Puggin kit by Bunny Cates
lacing from Kris kit by Nikki McGilberry (ShadowAngel) - recolored

The next LO I did for the recipe challenge at DSO. We where to scrap our favorite 'Green' recipe. I can't stand cottage cheese but I love this cottage cheese salad. You can't really taste the cottage cheese, and you are eating something good for you but taste like you are cheating. The flavor of this can also be changed just by changing the flavor of the jello. Try experimenting with it, I have also made it using orange jello with mandarin oranges in place of the pineapples. Yummy!!! The template used in this layout was another of my birthday goodies.

Cottage Cheese Salad

1 small container cottage cheese
1 small box lime Jello
1 small can crushed pineapple
1 small container Cool Whip

Mix cottage cheese and lime Jello (dry).
Add crushed pineapple (drained).
Fold in Cool Whip
and chill 1-2 hours before serving.

I have had the pleasure of playing with some TERRIFIC overlays by June, which will be released in her store real soon, so keep your eye out for these!! They are going to be CU too. Want to see some of them in use? I have used them to create this new kit for the color challenge over at DSO. I loved these colors, had so much fun playing around with this stuff, what started out as a mini kit, became a lot more than that! The hard part was trying to narrow down what I put in the kit. I hope you like it. Here it is for your downloading pleasure -
