My First CU Item

Today I have some layouts that I want to show off here, that have been made using some of my kits, and shared with me.

Kez Creates shared this adorable layout of her children with me. She used the My Guy kit and No Buddy wordart . Click on the LO for full credits and to leave her some love.

Did you know that each color of a rose has a different meaning?

Here is a basic list of the meanings...
Red - Love, respect, courage, passion, and beauty
Pink - Gratitude, appreciation, sympathy, elegance, and grace
White - Secrecy, reverence, purity, innocence, and unity
Yellow - Joy, friendship, welcome back, and freedom (can also signify jealousy)
Peach - Beauty, admiration, and desire
Red & White - Unity
Coral - Desire
Orange - Enthusiasm and fascination
Lavender - Love at first sight
Green - Rejuvenation, fertility
Black- Death

 

Now the freebie I have for you today is roses, for you to color! This is my first CU product. I made this rose from a picture that I took of the rose bush in our yard. This is my first attempt at creating something of this nature, so I hope it works out alright. 

This includes only the gray-scaled versions. Colored is only for preview purposes.
You can color these to add to your layouts.
Use them in kits that you are making,(as freebies or for sell) by making some kind of change.

I grabbed these photos from June's blog of the beautiful Miss Lilly.  I just love scrapping this little beauty, she makes a fantastic subject to scrap.   Isn't she the most adorable baby!! I just love her smile, it always brings a smile to my face.

I'd like to send out wishes for a speedy recovery to Kat - (TragedyScrappinAnne), who is still in the hospital, though now out of ICU.  Diana is keeping everyone updated on Kat's blog.  Toni is printing off the comments left for Kat, and taking them to the hospital for her to read. Heritage

This will be a short post today, I just wanted to stop in and share this kit with you that I made for Kim's color challenge over at DSO.

I've changed the look of my blog, and I love these colors!! What do you think of the new look?  

Ok here is the kit I created, I think these colors were great for a Heritage kit, and since I love genealogy, and scrapping the older photos that I find, I decided to create a Heritage Kit.  I hope that someone can use it.

I'd like to share a LO that I did for the Dosies over at DSO. This is the first week of this, and the challenge is to scrap where you are from.

The beautiful hills and rolling creeks are some of my favorite sights in Kentucky.  These photos were made by me of some of my favorite spots.

Sharing Sunday

What a surprise I received when Candie emailed me and asked if she could use my bubble overlay in a kit that she was working on.  I gave her the OK to use it, and just look at the lovely kit that she created!!  Great for those days at the beach photos that are waiting to be scrapped.

Here is a layout that I did using an old photo of my oldest son on the beach. I guess it's been a long time since we've been to the beach!  LOL 

I just absolutely LOVE this background! It would be great for diving photos as well, don't you think? And I used a template that TragedyScrapinAnne gave away on her blog, which helped me with my LO. I love templates, and Kat is a whiz at them!!

CT Collab

I'm back with another part of a collab kit for you!!  Today is my day for the CT Collab kit, that the members of June's CT team have put together for you. The theme of the kit was gardens and flowers, so it's full of pretty elements and cute little bugs and things. I know it say's the June Collab kit and it is now July, but because of a death in June's family, things were put on hold for a little while. My deepest sympathy goes out to June at the loss of her step-father. 

I want to share a layout that I made using my part, and a photo that I took yesterday of one of the watermelons that are growing in our garden. I like the way this photo turned out, if you look close you can see the dew still on it.

Backyard Playground

I've joined in the ADS Designers collab kit for this month and boy do we have a lot of goodies for you!! When you finish at my blog,  see the links below to visit the other blogs and grab up all the parts and you will end up with a HUGE kit! Remember we are all in different parts of the world so if you go to a link and its not there try it again later.  Also things happen beyond a designers control so be kind if you don't find something at a link. Places like 4shared get grumpy if we all download at once so if it doesn't seem to work try again later as all of the links will be up for the whole month of July, so you will have plenty of time to get all the different parts.
