My Memories Giveaway!!

I’m back today with another freebie for you. First I want to show you a layout that my 11 year-old granddaughter made using the My Memories Suite 2 digital scrapbooking software. I just showed her how to get what she wanted to use into the program and then she did all the rest!! And had a ball doing it!! This is is her first digital scrap layout, I did use the face whiteout that I offered as a freebie in the past to hide the faces. She even changed the picture in this layout, it was a color picture.

She used a background from the Sweetly U kit by Kimb's Designs, it was a freebie. The blue flower came from another freebie that was made by SueBee. Didn’t she do a great job? She ended up doing 8 layouts that night!!

How Sweet it is…..

I’ve found an easier way to do digital scrapbooking for those who would like to try it but are afraid of PSP or CS. It is My Memories Suite 2! I was given this program to try it out, and you just wouldn’t believe the fun I have had with it. There are tutorials that you can watch on how to use it as well. It comes with with over 1,500 new papers and over 1,300 new embellishments. There is even a color swatch library with matching sets of papers and embellishments. You can also find kits (some freebies) at My Memories to add to it. Plus all the kits you may find across the internet will work with it as well! How sweet is that?

Now I want to show you some of the layouts that I’ve made using My Memories Suite 2.

This one I did for the challenge at the My Memories Blog for this week. You know how I love challenges. I used the kit Angel of Mine by MagicalReality Designs in this layout of me back in my early school days. The title I made in the My Memories Suite 2.

This next one I made using a freebie kit from My Memories, called Loving You 2 by Vera Lim. I made the word art for this one using a font from the challenge for last week at the My Memories Blog. Didn’t do this on in time to get in for the challenge but had fun doing it. I made the word art using PSP but was able to use it in the My Memories Suite 2.

I made this layout using Ancestors Legacy by Cari Lopez. Also from My Memories.

And this last layout was made using Please Be Mine another freebie by Vera Lim available at My Memories. The doodle on the background paper is from the My Memories Suite 2, the staples used are from Staple Fool by Traci Murphy, all found at My Memories. The word art used in this one is a freebie by Bethany found on her blog here.

Long Time Gone!

I’d like to say a big thank you for all that have came by and left messages checking on me. There has been so much going on in my life that I haven’t had time for scrapping at all. First the chronic pain that I have. The big “C” cancer has hit my my family hard as well. They are still fighting this hard battle. Plus deaths of close family members and friends, it seems like it is just one thing after another.

The other day I was looking through some of the digiscrap pages that I had made in the past and thought I would like to give it another try. So I swung by the color challenge over at DSO hosted by Kristine. I loved the colors and found a beautiful kit by Kimb's Designs called Sweetly U, and I had a play with it. In the first layout below I also used a template by Carena’s Designs.

I also ran across some wordart by Bethany that fit these pictures perfectly so I had a play with it too. The kit used here is another freebie by Kimb's Designs called Spirit Wild Child Addon. I loved it so much that now I think I am going to go and find the full kit in her store.

Not bad for the first layouts in close to two years, I don’t think. Now I’m going to have to go and see what is new and catch up on things. Maybe do a few more layouts, and hopefully get my mojo back and be able to create something to share with you all. Have a nice day and thanks again for stopping by.

New Computer!

I’m so excited, my new computer came in yesterday!! Now I’m trying to get it set back up with all my must haves so that I can get back to digi-scrapping. Can you tell I like purple? LOL And have a long way to go in getting everything installed on it. I’ve got PSP X2 installed again but can’t find the product number for my PS CS2 so I’m not sure yet if I will be able to re-install it or not. I deleted all of this off of the old computer so DH can use if for games. I’ve got a feeling I’m going to wish that I had waited before doing that. Oh well sometimes we make mistakes and then we learn from them.

True Love

I just wanted to pop in quick this morning and tell you about a new kit that Charlie's Digiscraps has in the store. True Love is a richly textured kit, inspired by the "True Blood" series and romance.

It is perfect for scrapping those love layouts or any occasion. Here are a couple of layouts that I've made using True Love. This first one is my hubby and I so happy together.

In this first layout above I also used word art from the Tiny Love Notes by Jazzy's Words To Delite. In which you will find 20 tiny love phrases, which are words of love suitable for everyone, husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, friends, children. They can easily be resized and re-colored to match your layout. As you can tell from my layout.

And this one I just love this smile, makes me wonder what she has been up to. LOL You go Anna!

In the second layout I used a template by Kimberkatt Scraps and the font I used is CutiePatootie by Matahati Designs.

I'm still having computer problems, I think it is just worn out. I've expected it to do much more than it was equipped to do. Hubby has ok'd me getting a new one which will be designed to do the things that I want it to do. Yippee!!! So maybe soon I will have some new freebies for you! Soft Whisper

I've been playing with a beautiful kit by Kim Broedelet called Soft Whisper.

I absolutely love this kit and even with my computer problems I've created four layouts using this kit already! This first layout is of my grandparents long ago.

These next three layouts were all made using the kit Soft Whisper and Scrap Quick Templates both by Kim Broedelet. I purchased these templates during Kim's recent sale and have so enjoyed playing with them as well as this lovely kit.

I did this first layout for the October '09 Altered Photo challenge over at DSO. I used a PSP script called Color Pop (no longer available) by Bunny Cates to brighten the colors in the round picture. Can you tell how much she enjoyed her first birthday cake? hehehe

My youngest son and his daughter my lovely granddaughter. They have both celebrated birthdays this week. I thank God everyday for all of my beautiful family. And for letting us spend another birthday with Johnny, who we came close to loosing a few months ago.

In this one I also used a FREEBIE word art also by Kim Broedelet called Heart Song Word Art. This is my oldest son, who is also celebrating his birthday this week, and his lovely bride.

As I said I've been having some bad computer problems. I've expected more from this poor thing then it was meant to give. LOL But in a few days everything will be OK and I'll be able to scrap and design as much as I want. Yippee!! I will be back with a FREEBIE for you on Friday, October 9th at 12:02 AM CST. Pre-published because I'm not sure if this will let me write the post then. If I go missing for a few days everyone will know why, but I will be back soon better than ever!!

I've been playing with a beautiful kit - Warm Blessings by Andrea Dickinson. Another kit with beautiful Autumn colors.

Here is a layout that I made using this beautiful kit, in memory of my youngest DS's fur-baby Rufus. The poem I used is by John Quealy. The layout is linked to see the full credits.

Bundle of Joy - Baby Girl

I've been playing with Bundle of Joy - Baby Girl by Melanie Ann Designs. Such a sweet and adorable kit for scrapping the new little girls in your family.

Here are a couple of layouts that I've made using it. This first one shows one of my granddaughters with my DH's hand showing how small she was. She looked like a little doll.

I also used Sweet Baby Word Art by Jazzy's Words To Delite in both of these layouts, the one above and the one below. These are fabulous for giving your layout that little extra WOW.

This next layout shows four of my granddaughters as babies. Three of these four were named after me. (Big Smile)

I also used a great set of starter templates, Templates Set 1 by Andrea Dickinson in the above layout. Great for starting your layout, then you add whatever elements that you want.

Yes I too have been bitten by the Twilight saga, by Stephenie Meyer. I checked out all four books from the local library and read them all. Then rented the movie Twilight from Netflix. Loved them all! So when I saw this kit Bitten by Miss Mis Designs over at DSO, I just knew I had to have it! There are plenty of pieces to create a scrapbook memory for yourself or any Twilight fans that you may have in your family.

Here are a couple of layouts that I've made with it. The word art used on both of these is by me, and are quotes from the Twilight saga.

Thank you all who have left me well wishes for my aching back. It is feeling a little better today, more tolerable at least.

When I first saw this kit - Up Up and Away , I couldn't help remembering my first plane ride. So I decided to scrap about it for my grandchildren. I also used Wordart #30 by DigiDesigns by Denise (a FREEBIE) in this layout. Here it is.

My first plane ride was on a jet like this.
I was ten years old.
We rode one from Louisville, Ky.
to Orlando, Fl. I remember telling
Daddy to look at the treetops out the window.

but the clouds. Then I got really scared!!

On this second one I used the Photolays - The Months by Bunny Cates, that I told you about a few post back. I love these for recording the date on a layout.

One For The Guys

I've been playing with some more fantastic designs from the store at Digi Scrap Obsession. And want to share these fabulous finds with you today.

First a lovely kit called Lizbeth by LPand3dogs Designs. Some of my favorite colors are in this kit.

This first layout I did for the September '09 scraplift challenge at DSO. Where we lifted a yummy layout by Chaos Lounge. hehehe

I also used a word art from Girl Power by Jazzy's Words To Delite in the above layout.

Another layout using Lizbeth by LPand3dogs Designs.

The layout above uses a wordart from Rainbow Words by Jazzy's Words To Delite.

And a photolay from Photolays - The Months by Bunny Cates

I love these photolays so much I used them in another layout as well. I did this one for the font challenge over at Nuts4Digi. When my DH asked me to take this picture of him with this rattlesnake I had to use the zoom on my camera, cause there was no-way that I was getting close to that thing! LOL I also used Moody Blues by Diana Heuser/Legacy4Life again in this layout.

Now I've finished another challenge over at DSO and this is KimB's September color challenge. She always has such great swatches to play with. And this month is no different. I decided to take these colors in a different direction than my usual and create One For The Guys this time. Here is a layout that I made using my kit.

Moody Blues Layouts

I have a couple of layouts that I've made using Moody Blues by Diana Heuser of Legacy4Life that I'd like to show you today. This kit was so much fun to play with its full of soft golds, beiges and blues.

This first layout is of my boys when they were much younger, Oh how I miss those days! Now both are grown with families of their own. I did this layout in Photo Shop CS2, I'm bound and determined to learn to make them in it, now that I have that program. Thanks so much for all of your help Kristine and Vicki on helping me to learn to make shadows in PS. And the links to the great tutorials. It is greatly appreciated my dear friends.

Also used in this layout above of my Little Boys (when they were such) LOL I used a word art from Little Boys Word Art by Jazzy's Words To Delite

and a template from Open Spaces Set 2 by Bunny Cates. All of these products can be found in the store at Digi Scrap Obsession or by clicking on the image title or previews.

This second layout was made for September '09 Days Gone By challenge at DSO, and also done in PS. Which like I've mentioned in the past, sometimes I end up with a layout that I really like that I might not have done if not for the challenge. This layout is one such as that. Thanks for the challenge Dawn! And for the idea for the layout Charlie!! After seeing her layout titled RIP for the same challenge I knew the direction that I wanted to go with my layout.

Moody Blues by Diana Heuser of Legacy4Life was also used in this second layout above, along with a clipping mask from Mask Collection 2 by Charlie's Digiscraps. Again both can be found in the the store at Digi Scrap Obsession or by clicking on the image title or previews.

Shutterfly Photo Books

Whohoo I'm so excited I could shout! I've just gotten my first printed scrapbook back today. As I've said before I've printed off some of my layouts in the past and added them to books. But this is the first time I've had the book printed. I decided to scrap our wedding pictures , that took place in August 2001, and have them printed into an actual book. I know I'm kinda late getting it done, but I didn't scrap back then. hehehe Shutterfly made it so easy to do I was surprised. And they have lots of sizes to choose from. I choose to make my first book an 8x8 soft back book. I was also able to add my own photos to both the front and back covers as well! First I downloaded templates from here to make sure I had my pages the right size. Then scrapped the 20 pages plus the front and back cover and picked what I wanted to use for my spine on the book. Then I just uploaded all the pages to Shutterfly and started building my book. I placed the order on August 31, 2009 and received the finished book back today September 11 2009. Here are some pictures that I've took of the book to share with you, so you can get an idea how the finished product looks. I won't show you every page but a few so you can get an idea of how they the printed version turned out. The book is laying on the counter top, so that is what you see in the background.

An Ordinary Day

I want to share a couple of layouts with you that I've made using this extremely versatile kit, it can be used for just about any type of layout. The kit is An Ordinary Day by Kim Broedelet.

This first layout is of a visit to Gatorland in Florida by two of my grandchildren. The journaling is what my grandson said when they were showing me the pictures and telling me about there vacation. LOL I wouldn't have wanted to pet even the baby ones! I did this layout for the animal kingdom challenge at DSO and the Joi of fonts challenge at K-Joi.

I also used a mask from the Year of Moments Accessory Pack 2 by Bunny Cates in the above layout.

This second layout also using An Ordinary Day by Kim Broedelet, I did for the altered photo challenge at DSO. The steps I took on this photo to change it are...

1. I ran a black and white pencil sketch script in PSP X2
2. topped the first layer with the original picture set as overlay
3. duplicated that layer set as burn

I also used word art from Lets Party by Words To Delite in this above layout.

Before I go I have to toot my horn a little. One of my layouts, Guiding Light, won second place in the digital category over at Scrap N Win. This is my youngest son with his daughter. I did this layout for him on Father's Day 2009. I used a kit called Summer Dreaming by Mistica Designs available at DigiDesignResort and the wordart is from Fathers Day for Dad Word Art by Words To Delite available at Digi Scrap Obsession.

More from the PU Grab Bags Plus another template

Hi,I hope that your labor day weekend is going good. I'm back today with more layouts made with some of the Personal Use Grab Bags that can be found at DSO for only $3.00 a piece. A big hello to Darla who let me know that she went to DSO and promptly bought just about every grab bag, after reading my last post. First today I'd like to share a couple of layouts that I made using Jazzy's Personal Use Grab Bag

and a beautiful kit by Charlie's Digiscraps - In Memory of...

In this first layout I also used Year of Moments Accessory Pack 2 by Bunny Cates.

A Mask is a great way to use a picture that you think is un-useable. Some of these older pictures have really taken a beating but are very much cherished. This is my DH's mother and her brother and sisters, with their Mother, all in this picture have passed away, with the last, his aunt, passing away on August 31 2009.

This layout was also made using Jazzy's Personal Use Grab Bag and a background from In Memory of... by Charlie Digiscraps. This is my Mom as a baby with her parents, another cherished older picture.

Here is another layout that I made using In Memory of ... by Charlie's Digiscraps again. I did this layout for the September desktop challenge over at DSO. Which is hosted by Charlie, and she has a beautiful posting bonus that you get just for playing along, plus the template! With all the grandchildren that we now have I need help remembering birthdays. LOL So I used buttons for the birthdays of our children and grandchildren that fall in this month.

And here is another layout that I made using the Year of Moments Accessory Pack 2 by Bunny Cates. My DH and I a few years ago enjoying the snow. Everything in this layout but the picture and my title and journaling can be found in this pack.

Next are a couple of more layouts using the Personal Use Grab Bag by LouCeeCreations.

This is a picture from my Mom's surprise birthday party this year. My baby sister made this cake herself. Good job Sis!

In this next layout I also used one of the templates from Open Spaces Two by Bunny Cates. Being a template junkie myself, I love these templates both sets one and two. They are fantastic!!

I'm back as promised with a layout showing you the beautiful kit Taylar's Gift by Designs by Kristine. This kit was created for Miss Taylar. Kris went to school with her mom and wanted to do something special for her. This kit is full of Taylar's favorite colors and captures her personality. I love this kit it is made up of such beautiful papers and elements. The colors are gorgeous together! Well let me show you the preview of the kit and let you see for yourself.

I also have a couple of more layouts that I'd like to share, they were both made using In The Forest by Carena's Designs. She has managed to create yet another kit that is great for creating scenes, I had a lot of fun creating with this kit.

This first layout using it, I extracted the lovely Miss Lilly from her grandmother's picture. Her grandmother is none other than June of Cen's Stuff, thanks again for allowing me to play with the picture June! I added the word magic, and the lovely Miss Lilly, everything else in this layout, including the bird on her shoulder, was found in the kit.

This second layout I extracted my youngest DS and his bride from some of their wedding pictures and gave them a new setting. I think this one looks much more romantic. The wordart used in this layout is from Jean Genie Wordart by Jazzy, and other than the romantic couple, everything else used here is from the kit also. This layout got Gallery Standout at DST on 8-14-09 just a few minutes after it was added to the gallery! I'm honored!!

Oh yeah, I just have to show you a layout that Kristine sent me, using my Blog Template 14, which you can still find here. She used a beautiful kit Beachy Is Peachy Collab by Misty O'Brien & Jen Yurko. This is such a bright, cheerful and fun layout of her lovely daughter who looks like she is having lots of fun! Thanks again for sharing this with me Kris and allowing me to share it with everyone here.

I've been playing around with creating some wordart, something I haven't done in quite some time. I thought I would offer this one to you today, I'll show you my layout using it another day, I'm running out of time today. I've got a DR appointment later today and a lot to get done before then. So here you go, it is saved in PNG format and can be re-colored or resized for your layouts.

I just had to pop in and share these layouts that I just finished with you. They are both made using Loryn from the Friend Series by Kim Broedelet it is a very versatile kit, and could be used for lots of different layouts.

And wordart from Rainbow Words by Jazzy, this set is all about color. Sure to give your layout that little extra pop!

Here is the first layout, a little girl who reminds me of the color yellow, she is so full of happiness, and joy, like a ray of sunshine.

This second layout is of my DH and I, a picture I have scrapped before. One of the many good things about digi-scrapping - you can reuse pictures and designs.

Remember both Loryn and Rainbow Words can both be found in the store at Digi Scrap Obsession along with lots of other fantastic designs by lots of great designers.

And while I'm here I want to show you a couple of sneak peeks of what Kristine of Designs By Kristine has coming up this week!

Yes I'm posting two days in a row!! I've got some news that I wanted to share yesterday but forgot so will tell you about it in a bit. First I want to tell you about another kit that I've had the pleasure of playing with. It is from the Friend Series - Roche by Kim Broedelet. This kit is a little retro and a little vintage and perfect for all types of layouts.

Here is a layout that I made using it, this picture is an old one of my grandmother and my uncle. I just love going through all the old pictures.

This next layout that I've made also using Roche, I've used a few of my camping pictures. I did this layout for the Ad Inspired Challenge at DSO, which is hosted by Mis. Now I've done all of the challenges at DSO and it is only the 22nd.

In this one above I also used wordart from Going Camping by Jazzy. This is great for all those special Camping layouts.

Now for the news that I wanted to share, Jazzy also known as Words To Delite, is the word art Queen at DSO! I love using her wordart and being on her CT as well as the DSO store CT. Guess what Jazzy is looking for some new creative team members!! Take a look at her store here at DSO, and if you think you can do what she ask of you as a CT member, by all means contact her before all the spots get filled!! Now I have a freebie for you today, it is another template, only this time I didn't have time to make it in all three sizes. Plus since it is based on the Ad for the Ad challenge at DSO if you haven't done this challenge, you can use this template and do the challenge easily!

Layout Shares and Template Freebie

I'm back with some more layouts to share today. I've had the pleasure of playing with a beautiful kit - Timeless Beauty by Andrea Dickinson. This kit has grungy, distressed papers that have a vintage feel. The pearls, flowers and bows will beautifully compliment your photos - old or new. I've used it on both old and new photos and loved the outcome of both.

First I'd like to show you the preview of this beautiful kit.

This first layout is using old pictures of both sets of my grandparents when they were young, back before either of my parents were born. All of my grandparents have passed away now and I cherish this layout. I did this one for the scraplift challenge over at DSO, hosted by LouCee. It is a scraplift of Pool Time by Imgdonahue.

I also used word art from Scrapbooking Delites by Jazzy. I re-colored the word art to match the layout. Also cut it apart, placing part of it at the top and part at the bottom.

This next layout, was also made using Timeless Beauty. I used a new picture in this one, taken at my oldest son's wedding on Valentines Day of this year.

The word art used in this one was also by Jazzy, from the Wise Words word art. It is a collection of quotes by van Gogh made into Word Art phrases. They can easily be re-colored and resized. Any one of them will add a special sentiment to your layouts or other craft projects I cut the word art apart and re-colored it to place it the way I have in this layout.

Challenges, Challenges, and more Challenges

I've got a couple of layouts to share with you today. I made these first two using Antoinette from the Friend Series by Kim Broedelet. This kit is fun, bubbly and funky with a feminine edge. So many beautiful papers and elements it was hard to choose what to use and what to leave out in these layouts. I will definitely be playing with this one again.

This first layout I made for the August 09 Quote challenge at DSO. I had a lot of fun, using an element from the kit in place of the word star. Andrea has a beautiful posting bonus that you get for doing this challenge. As do all the challenges at DSO, you receive a fabulous posting bonus for each and every challenge done. How cool is that!

This kit could have been made for the picture in this layout. The wordart used in this layout is from Girl Power Word Art by Jazzy. It is full of fun, funky, grungy, phrases for your layouts of those special girls big or small!

I've started my duties as a CT at Digi Scrap Obsession. Seeing as I have a strong scrapping obsession this is a good place to be. LOL Lots of beautiful designs by lots of fabulous designers!

I've just got to show these new layouts that I've made playing with this fun kit, To Sir, With Love by Charlie's Digiscraps. Also using wordart from Preschool Days Wordart by Jazzy. This first layout is an old picture of me, starting first grade. Seems like such a long time ago. I can't remember where I went to school at then, as we moved around a lot when I was young.

This one using the same kit - To Sir, With Love by Charlie's Digiscraps is of my two sons when they were much younger. How I miss these days. I had fun on the play with the words for the title, using the Alpha that is included with the kit.

I also got to play with Year of Moments Accessory Pack 3 by Bunny Cates. These are fantastic for a layout in a hurry, she includes a template as well as papers, elements and ideas. The wordart I used in this layout is from the Going Camping Word Art by Jazzy. This layout is also of my boys when they were much younger. This was their first camp out alone in the backyard. LOL

The journaling reads...
First campout with just the two of you.
It started in the backyard in a tent.
I left the door unlocked so sure
that you would come in. You
surprised me, you stayed outside
all night by yourselves, only on
the porch instead of in the tent.

This layout was made using Year of Moments Accessory Pack 3 by Bunny Cates, To Sir, With Love by Charlie's Digiscraps, and Follow the Lines Grungy Grandma Wordart by Jazzy. A different look using the same template. I did this one for the Altered Photo Challenge over at DSO. Where Jazzy has a cute Alpha as a posting bonus, which you can get free just for doing the challenge. I used a script in PSP X2 to give my picture a black and white sketch look. And used my granddaughter's own writing as an overlay on the journaling paper included in this kit.

This layout is of me and made with the mini kit that Kristine of Designs by Kristine made for me. She made a kit for each of her CT, we were to send a color swatch with four of our favorite colors. She has been giving them away each Friday on her blog, and this Friday is my day! I don't like scrapping myself much but since the kit is Colors of Kim, I thought I should use one of my pictures with it. And this is a recent picture, no digging through the old pictures for this one. hehehe Thanks for the fantastic kit Kris!!

Country Living Clustered Frame

Here are a couple of layouts that I've made using it. This kit was perfect for this picture I took the other day of a field full of fresh rolled hay.

Just the perfect touch to make all of your nature layouts pop. Can be easily resized and re-colored. I have used this wordart pack for several different layouts already and I'm sure I'll be using it again in the future.

This is Jake, my youngest son's rooster who has turned out to be another one of his babies. He actually posed for me to take this picture. LOL I did this layout for the Animal Kingdom Challenge over at DSO and hosted by LouCee. She has a beautiful posting bonus that you get just for playing along.

I just have to share this news with you while I'm here today, DSO - Digi Scrap Obsession was looking for a CT (creative team). Being as some of my favorite designers are there and I've been hanging out there since I first starting digi-scrapping, I applied. Well now I'm now on the DSO Creative Team!! I'm just tickled pink to have been chosen. And with all the CT's that I'm now on I'm as busy as a stump-tailed cow in fly time (very busy)!! So I need to run as I have lots of goodies waiting for me to play. I will be back on Friday with another gift for you and news of another that you can find.

Jean Genie Cluster Frame

This is will be a very short post, I have a lot going on in my life at the time. But I wanted to let you all know about this new kit that LouCeeCreations has out. Jean Genie, is full of denim and glam for girls of all ages who enjoy a bit of fun and laughter and is in the store now.

And here are some layouts that I've created with it. These first two are of my daughters when they were still living at home. We had a ball goofing off and having a photo shoot.

This one is of June Schutrups' lovely granddaughter, Lilly. Isn't she adorable?

The wordart used in all three of these layouts above are by Jazzy, and were made to match this kit. They aren't in the store yet, but keep an eye out in her store here at DSO, for this fantastic wordart pack of the same name!!

Here is another layout that I made using this kit, the wordart in this one is by Bethany. And the cluster frame was created by me to match this kit. You can find the download for the frame cluster below. This is me and one of my sisters.

And as promised here is the cluster frame to match this kit. The background is not included here but is part of the kit Jean Genie. The frame comes in one version with shadows and one with the only shadows being between the layers.

Oasis Beach Resort QP

I've had the pleasure of scrapping with Oasis Beach Resort by Carena's Designs. This kit is perfect for building a beach scene, or for regular type layouts. I've had a blast with it!! I'd like to share some layouts that I've made with it.

Gatorland was a favorite place of mine to go to when I was small. I have fond memories of going there with my Dad and brother. So when my daughter took her kids to Florida on vacation I suggested they go here. They too loved it!

I've joined Kristine aka WenchdGrafix creative team. She sent me an email asking me to consider it, and having been a fan of her designs for a long time it didn't take me long to say yes! LOL

Here is the first layout that I've made as a CT member, using her beautiful kit Serene. The wordart used in this layout is from A Touch Of Nature by Jazzy. And I used the SM Tuesday Template by Jeni Hopewell Designs. This is my take on it.

And this next layout was made using Colors of Leslie. if you purchase this kit, you get the QP set free for a limited time! Also the matching mini is given away on Kristine's blog. This wordart is also by Jazzy and from the Smiles Wordart Bundle. I used Blog Template 132 by Bunny Cates on this one.

LouCee Creations has a new kit out in the store today Freshly Picked at %40 OFF. It is a gorgeous kit, which I've enjoyed scrapping with. This first layout that I made with it, is a get well card for Jazzy, who is in hospital at the moment and in the ICU, if you could all just keep her in your prayers please. Hope you feel better soon Jazzy!! I also used Template 3 from Greeting Card Templates Set 02 by Andrea Gold. the font used on this card is CutiePatootie a freebie by Matahati Designs.

And here is another layout that I scrapped with this kit, of my DH, who is a blessing to me. The wordart in this layout is by Jazzy also and is from Words About Life, (re-colored) And another fantastic template by Bunny Cates - Blog Template 133.

I did two layouts with the Wedding Collab by the Digidesignresort Designers. Another beautiful kit, and could have been made for my youngest DS and his DW's wedding, the colors are a perfect match! I used the July Template Freebie by Christie Lemmon Designs. The font used in this layout is Scriptina, one of my favorite fonts.

And this one I used a wordart from I Thee Wed by Jazzy (re-colored)

Garden Delite

First thing I want to share with you today is a layout that Saphira created of her son who is a firefighter-by-call in Germany. She used my kit Just Call Me The Fireman, that I created back in October of 2008. You can still find this kit here if you missed it. Thank you again Saphira for sharing this with me and allowing me to post it here on my blog, sorry it has taken me so long to get it posted. I would also like to thank FireMom who wrote a review on her blog recently about this kit. You can see what she had to say about it, plus see a fantastic layout that she made with it here on her blog.

I so enjoy seeing how you use my designs, and hearing what you think of them. A BIG thank you to all who take the time to leave a comment or send me a copy of your layouts.

Jumbled Mix

I'm back after a busy week of scrapping. And trying to design a little something to share with you. But my mind is a jumbled up mess at this time, can't seem to think on one line, which today's freebie will show. hehehe But first I want to share some of the layouts that I've made.

This first layout was created for the June 09 BOM challenge at DSO, supposed to scrap a LO of me with pictures taken in 2009, one that I like and one that I don't. My DH took these pictures of me when I was totally exhausted after spending so much time at the hospital with my DS after his TBI. In the close-up I was talking when he took it, I don't like pictures that catch me talking. The other he did manage to coax a smile out of me. But I think they both show how exhausted I really was. The wordart was perfect for the way I was feeling at the time.

This layout is of my youngest DS (the one who suffered the TBI) and his DD, one of my DGD take on her first birthday in October 2008. I did this one for the June 09 wordart challenge over at DDR. Where we were to use this quote. A great chance for me to use one of Jazzy's new Fathers Day for Dad Word Art and create a lovely page for my DS & DDG. I was notified that this LO was nominated for the June '09 PG Elite Scrapper award. Which I didn't know what it was so I googled it. This is what I found about the award. Quite an honor to even have one of my pages nominated!! (smiling)

Here is another layout made using wordart from Jazzy's Fathers Day for Dad Word Art. This one I did in memory of my Dad, it his face that is blended into the clouds. He passed away in 1976, and I still miss him very much today. The picture in the cluster is me, taken on Father's Day this year.

I did this layout for the color challenge over at DDR. Where we weren't given any certain colors to use but use ALL colors - show how artistic self or family/friends are. This is my take on this challenge. I used a script in PSP X2 to make the picture of my DH look like a colored sketch.

Sharing layouts plus a template

I've joined another Creative Team, this time for a store - Digidesignresort. I've never tried being a CT for a store so this should be fun. Lots of beautiful kits and wonderful designers to be found here. Thanks for asking me Aquarius!! For the month of June I've worked with two beautiful kits - Twi-Light Garden by BooLandDesigns and Freedom Kit by ScrapDesafios. Both are fantastic and were a joy to work with. Here are the layouts that I've made with them.

Keeper of the Garden - is my hubby, just look at that mater (tomato)! Won't be long until we can have a salad fresh from the garden!!

Colors of June

I told you that I'd be back real soon with a kit for you!! But first I have a couple of layouts that I'd like to share with you. This first one is another done with the beautiful kit Oooh La La by LouCeeCreations. The wordart used in this layout is from the Sweet Baby wordart package by Words To Delite. I went back in time with this layout by using some of my baby pictures. I made this one for the template challenge over at DSO. As I've said before I love the challenges because I usually end up with a layout that I like for my books. They are great when you hit a stumbling block with your scrapping, to give you ideas.

Here is the LO that I used Whisper of Summer by Edeline Designs on, which is one of the AWESOME kits that I've recently won over at DST. Thanks again Edeline!! I used wordart from the Fishtales wordart bundle by Words To Delite. And another template on this one as well, the template is also by Edeline Designs. These pictures were made on one of our camping/fishing trips.

Today I have for you a kit that I made for the color challenge over at DSO hosted by KimB. She always picks such beautiful colors for everyone to play with. If you make a layout and post it in the gallery at DSO, then add a link in the color challenge post, you can also get KimB's beautiful posting bonus!! Plus there are already so many beautiful kits to be found in this post with this same color theme! So after you are finished here pop on over and have a look and grab some more goodies. You will find my download links below the previews, with again your choice of where to download. The elements in this kit are torn cardboard with glitter trim, I hope you like them and can find a use for them. There are three downloads to this kit, so make sure you get them all.

I'm pack as promised to show you what I've recently won over at the Happy Place at DST!! I can't believe all the beautiful things that these ladies are giving away over there. This post is to personally thank each and everyone of these wonderful designers.

First is Angels Tears Collab by Kim Broedelet (Kimb's designs) & Chaos Lounge Creations. This kit is gorgeous!! Whooo I told you I had been lucky lately! I've got so many new goodies to play with I just don't know where to start. LOL I'm so very thankful to all of these wonderful designers for their RAK's they mean a lot to me. My DH and I live on a fixed income. And with prices going up everyday it is hard to afford just the necessities. Let alone the extra things such as these fabulous designs for my habit - digi-scrapping.

I've not been feeling to well lately, sneezing, coughing and lost my voice again. But feel a little better now. Enough that I've played around in PSP doing some layouts and some designing. Grab you something to drink and get comfortable because I have lots to share with you today.

First up I just have to show you this beautiful new kit by LouCeeCreations -

Here is a layout that I made using this kit. The cluster frame was created by me using parts from this gorgeous kit. The wordart used in this layout is by Jazzy and was a previous posting bonus for the Photo Op challenge at DSO.

Jazzy has a new wordart package Friendship in her store at 25% off today. You can never have too many friends or too many ways to describe them.

I've used some of this wordart in this layout I did for the scraplift challenge hosted by LouCee over at DSO.

I enjoy designing or should I say trying to design, my designs will never be as good as these wonderful designers in this post today. It means a lot to me though when you take the time to show me how you have used my designs. This week I've received not one but two layouts using my designs. Thank you Kathryn and Michelle for sharing these with me and allowing me to share them with everyone.

This one is by Kathryn, she used a wordart from the Cousins We Be wordart package. Isn't this an adorable layout with all these cousins?

And this one is from Michelle, she used the Grungy Dots kit that I made for the May 09 color challenge at DSO. Another adorable layout, doesn't her daughter looks so happy ringing the bell? You may click on Michelle's photo to go and leave her some love.

Grungy Dots

The surgery is over and my son is coming home today! He will have to go back and have the staples removed from his head in 10 days and will still need some therapy but at least the worst of this nightmare is behind us. Praise GOD for the miracles that I have saw in the past few months! He still does perform them even in this day and time!!

I'd like to say that I'm behind in my emails, so if I haven't answered you yet I will get to it, maybe now I might have just have a little more time since hopefully I won't be spending so much time sitting in the hospital playing the wait game.

I have a kit to give you today. I made this for KimB's color challenge over at DSO. I created this LO of my grandson using it. I love this smile!

Lucky Me!!

Two post in one day, I've just got so much to share today! I'm so excited to have been one of the chosen to be on the CT team of LouCeeCreations. She has just recently started selling her designs again and let me tell you they are fantastic, such a joy to ~~work~~ play with. You can find her store here over at DSO. Here is a preview of her latest kit in the store, called Bollywood Dreams. I just love all the gorgeous colors and fun elements in this kit!!

Here is a layout that I made using it. This is my hubby and I on one of our camping trips. Actually this was two pictures, that I made into one, by adding the two of us into one picture. We didn't have any made together on this particular trip, so I fixed the problem. LOL

I love this quote used in this next layout, that I made for a couple of challenges. The quote challenge over at DSO and the font challenge over at K-Joi. I love challenges, I usually end up with a layout that I might not have made without the idea from the challenge. Please continue to keep my son in your prayers, he is still doing well. He is scheduled for his next surgery on May 15th. They are going to put in a steel plate where they had to remove part of his skull that was shattered and to allow for the swelling of the brain. For those that may not have read about it already on my blog, he suffered a TBI on January 31 2009. It is a true miracle that he still here with us. The Dr's didn't think he would even make the trip to the larger hospital with the Trauma unit. Prayers are answered, and miracles do still happen today!

Tattered & Torn

I've been scrapping the last couple of weeks, and have really enjoyed it. I find it to be a great "stress reliever". And if you've been following my blog, you know that I've been under a lot of stress lately, so this was very good therapy for me. Jazzy has four great new wordart packs in her store, since I've posted last. One of them is the Boys Of Summer Wordart that I've used in the above layout. Another is the Graduation Day Wordart that I've used in this next layout. He Is Risen and Just Baseball are both great as well. You owe it to yourself's to check them all out!

I've played around with extractions in this layout and I really like the way it has turned out. The kit used here is Le marchand de sable by Akiloune, which I received from her as a RAK. Thanks again for the lovely kit Akiloune, I loved it!

I also was chosen for a one kit/one template call by Di Hickman. I love her templates, having used them in the past. This was my first time using one of her kits, let me tell you I loved it just as much! Such bright and cherry colors, that are in Chick-a-dee and the Diagram Bundle #15 is fantastic! This first layout I entered into the lyric challenge over at DSO. The lyrics used are from 'Spring Fever' by Elvis Presley. The beauty in pink is one of my granddaughters enjoying the beautiful spring day and dodging the camera in Nana's (me) hand. LOL

We had a family get together/cookout at the park on Easter weekend, when I made these pictures. This next one has four of my grandchildren, when I went to tell them the food was ready, no one wanted to come. Lots more fun on the slides!! I used Chick-a-dee and another template from Diagram Bundle #15 in this LO as well. I used Jazzy's All About Kids Wordart in this next one. I cut it apart and rotated parts of it, which shows that you can make changes to WA to fit what you want it to. The face whiteout is a past freebie offered by me, which you can still find here if you would like it. I entered this one in the font challenge over at DSO, using the font Painty Paint for the journaling.

I have more to share with you but I think I'll save it for another day, and just give you this freebie now, as I'm getting tired and I guess you are too. This freebie contains both of these 12x12 inch templates that I've made for you from some of my past layouts. They are available in both PSP & PSD formats.

Dreams of Yesterday

I've gotten lucky and was chosen to CT for Jazzy of Words To Delite. She sells at DSO, you can find her store here. I love wordart, as you can really dress up your layouts with some great words. Jazzy has some really awesome wordart packages, it was hard to decide what I wanted to use first. A dear friend of mine in the digiscrapping community recently received some nasty emails from a few who thought that she shouldn't write about her life on her HER blog. I can't believe that anyone would do such a thing as that. After all it is HER blog, to do with as she wants. When she offers freebies there it is a GIFT for which a person should be thankful for. June and all the other designers out there, keep doing what you do for it is YOUR blog. I personally would like to publicly thank all the designers for all of the wonderful gifts that they offer on their blogs. And I love reading the bits of your life that you share with us.
